Expanding Your Landscaping Journey
Your Future Landscaping
Community Membership Network
We are excited to review your application and have you become a member of YFL landscaping community. Once accepted you will be introduced to our community access, and access to the following areas to contribute to our fast growing community. You will be able to add to, ask for or utilize the resources your fellow landscapers have to offer.
You can contribute to our community by….
POSTING potential jobs that you do not want to service to other members who may need them or have clients in that area already.
“EXAMPLE: I POST this to my members when I receive a referral from a client that is out of my radius of service, don’t want the job, or I’m full. I want others to grow and not waste a referral or calling a potential client back who may need services for different jobs in the future.
OFFERING another company a client (address) swap if they have a client in that area to create a potential Monopoly (having 2-4 clients houses near each other) for you both “WIN-WIN!”
“EXAMPLE: I had one client in Middleburgh(Big Creek Area) with no clients near 5 mile radius, and a well established member had one client in MacIntosh Farms but had his area was the Middleburgh area, so we swapped WIN-WIN. We let our clients know that we have a 5 star associate that will be taking over your landscaping and no price increase.”
OFFERING to sell equipment or request to buy from others; also, RENT out your equipment (if you choose) to members.
“EXAMPLE: I personally rent out a BED-EDGER from a member, and treat it like a Home Depot rental by taking good care of it and cleaning it thoroughly; without the high rental cost & travel.
REFERRING one of your community members to a job from your client or potential client that is listed in contractor skills that you do not service: “Specialty Skill”(license commercial applicator, hardscape- retain walls & patios, french drains, fence, pressure washing, tree service, concrete, etc) with clients or potential clients.
You can benefit from our community by….
REQUESTING to sub-contract one of our members to assist with a job based on the “specialty skills” ( license commercial applicator, retaining walls; patios, French drains, fences pressure washing, tree service, etc) that the member has.
“EXAMPLE: I personally rent out a BED-EDGER from a member, and treat it like a Home Depot rental by taking good care of it and cleaning it thoroughly; without the high rental cost & travel.
CONSULTING with our Turf Management Pro that can respond to your questions regarding lawns in your direct area; full access to our resource Pro that has over 25 years experience in turf grass management and golf course management in the Northern Ohio and Western PA region.
COLLABORATING with other professionals to cover your vacation, illness or injury time off. Post in advance and offer your vacation dates, number of clients, and upfront compensation.
Members can share the information with their staff who are looking for extra money and taking on projects. This includes winter plowing season.
COMING SOON TO OUR COMMUNITY
“HAVE YOUR BACK” PROFESSIONAL PROTECTION
We are developing a database that will allow members of our community to post clients (address and initials only) that have scammed them out of money in the past year.
“EXAMPLE: 100 Alfred Lerner Way, Cleveland, a client D.W. had us put a new lawn in and gave us a deposit check that bounced and has not returned calls or paid anything we are currently court involved.”
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER COMING IN 2026!
Our monthly newsletter will include a “Member of the Month” spotlight on one of our members. It will also include a “Hot Topics” section that will share information about relevant issues that our professionals have been experiencing.
“EXAMPLE: Army worms attacked lawns heavily in 2021 and caught many off guard on how to prevent and treat. We were able to add lawn preventive services using Acelepryn Xtra to address Army worms the following year.
